Plot Summary

Goverdhan (Kader Khan) and Damani (Prem Chopra) are bitter enemies who work for Trikal Anna (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), a powerful underworld boss. Trikal Anna orders them to stop their rivalry and make peace with each other. They reluctantly agree and decide to get their children married to each other. Goverdhan sends his son Vicky (Govinda) to Surat to meet Damani's daughter Priti (Preity Zinta) and woo her. However, on the way, Vicky meets Raja (also Govinda), a hitchhiker who looks exactly like him. Raja steals Vicky's clothes and identity and goes to Surat to meet Priti. He falls in love with her at first sight and pretends to be Vicky. Priti also falls for him and they elope together. Meanwhile, Vicky reaches Surat and finds out that Raja has taken his place. He tries to expose Raja but fails. He also meets Priti's friend Anjali (also Preity Zinta) and falls in love with her. The confusion and chaos increase when Trikal Anna, Goverdhan, Damani, and their henchmen arrive in Surat to find out the truth.
